Coca-Cola Recycling Drive returns for National Recycling Week 2026
By Emma Lucey 21 October 2026
Aussies are being encouraged to turn their everyday recycling into support for the local groups and causes they care about, as the Coca-Cola Recycling Drive returns for Planet Ark’s National Recycling Week in 2026.
Coca-Cola is giving away $20,000 in funding for the month of November, and there are two ways you can win some extra support for your community.
Nominate your community group for $2,500 From November 2, visit the Coca-Cola Recycling Drive Hub to nominate a local community group and explain how $2,500 could make a difference. The more supporters who nominate and tell their community’s story, the stronger the entry becomes. One group will receive $2,500 each week throughout November.
Give it a Go - Share your group’s recycling efforts for $10,000 in funding From 23 November, share an Instagram Reel showing your recycling efforts through Container Deposit Schemes. Tag @CocaColaAU, use #GiveRecyclingAGo and keep your profile public to be considered for $10,000 in funding to help bring a community project to life. T&Cs apply. The Coca-Cola Recycling Drive is focused on the power of collective action, proving that communities acting together to recycle can deliver benefits for people as well as the planet.
“For 30 years, Planet Ark has been helping Australians take practical action for the environment, and National Recycling Week continues to be an important opportunity to build better recycling habits across the country. The Coca-Cola Recycling Drive shows how those everyday actions can deliver benefits for people as well as the planet,” said Adam Culley, CEO, Planet Ark.
Container deposit schemes are now available in every state across Australia, with the last to become active in Tasmania being introduced last year. These schemes reduce litter, improve recycling rates, and help support local charities across the country. Recycling through Container Deposit Schemes produces higher quality recycled materials as there is less contamination from other materials due to the separated stream. These materials can be used to produce new food-grade containers and other products.
So, get collecting with your community group and give it a go this National Recycling Week – good luck!
