Mobile Community Recycling Centre collection units can be found at Murrurundi, Scone and Merriwa council administration offices and Aberdeen community library. These collection points collect household batteries, fluro globes and electronic waste items no larger than a laptop. Compost bins and worm farms can be purchased from council at cost price. Both Coles and Woolworths located in Scone collect soft plastics through the Redcycle program All waste management facilities in the area collect Drummuster containers.
