Skips and Scrap is the largest family-owned waste recycling business servicing from Port Stephens down to the Central Coast of NSW. We’re Aussie-owned and backed by three generations of waste and recycling experience. We recover and recycle 90% of the waste we collect, which diverts more than 40,000 tonnes from landfill every year.

We provide skip bin hire, commercial front lift bins, scrap metal collection and recycling, construction and demolition (C&D) site waste management, residential and commercial cleanups, and recycled material sales. We work with households, builders, developers, demolition contractors, landscapers, and commercial and industrial clients including shops, warehouses, offices and hospitality venues.

Skip bin hire: A wide range of skip bin sizes from 2m3 to 12m3 is available for renovations, garden clean-ups, house and garage clean-outs, commercial clear-outs, construction sites and demolition. We offer same-day delivery and pickup 6 days a week (subject to location and availability), plus a 24/7 booking request service and upfront pricing. Standard skip bin pricing is based on loads up to 10 tonnes. Eligible domestic customers in Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and Port Stephens can also choose our Domestic Light Special, which uses set weight limits to give a cost-effective option for lighter household clean-ups.

Construction & demolition waste: We schedule delivery, changeover, pickup and replacement of skips around each stage of works. Each project has a dedicated account manager. Where needed, we can also crane skips to the upper levels of developments.

Front lift bins: We provide permanent on-site commercial bins with routine scheduled servicing. A dedicated waste manager reviews your volumes and finds recyclables such as cardboard that may qualify for recyclable discounts.

Recycling & resource recovery: Our NSW EPA licensed facilities in Tomago run a purpose-built Material Recovery Facility (MRF) for commercial and industrial (C&I) and C&D waste. It uses magnetic and eddy current separation, screening, density separators and manual picking cabins, and can process up to 350 tonnes per day. We recover timber, concrete, steel, non-ferrous metals, soils and cardboard. You don’t need to sort your waste because we do it for you.

Recycled soil & aggregate sales: We process and recycle General Solid Waste (GSW) soils. The recycled products we sell include roadbase/crushed rock, crushed concrete, turf underlay and excavated natural material.
