The St Vincent de Paul Society NSW (Vinnies) has been supporting people experiencing disadvantage across New South Wales for more than 140 years. Through a network of retail shops, members and volunteers, and community programs, Vinnies NSW provides practical assistance to individuals and families facing hardship, including support with housing, food security, bills and financial crisis.

Vinnies NSW is proud to be a Community Sponsor of Planet Ark's National Recycling Week in 2026 and to launch the Rewear It collection on Vinnies Finds, celebrating the role that second-hand fashion plays in creating a more sustainable future.

Every year, millions of tonnes of clothing end up in landfill. By choosing pre-loved fashion, Australians can help extend the life of garments, reduce textile waste and support a more circular economy. Through Rewear It, Vinnies NSW is encouraging people to rethink the way they shop, donate and wear clothing, proving that great style doesn't have to come at an environmental cost.

In the 2025/26 financial year, Vinnies NSW received and sorted more than 3.3 million kilograms of donated textiles and sold over 12.4 million items through its network of more than 220 shops across the state. Beyond resale, initiatives such as Vinnies Bag O Rags help give unsaleable clothing and fabrics another purpose, reducing textile waste while raising funds for community programs.

Importantly, every purchase from Vinnies shops or Vinnies Finds helps fund vital community services and programs that support people doing it tough across NSW. When you choose to rewear, you're not only reducing waste, you're helping create positive social impact in local communities.
