BATTERY RECYCLING PROGRAM Waverley residents can now recycle domestic batteries at the Customer Service Centre at 55 Spring Street, Bondi Junction. Deposit small batteries such as those used in cameras, torches, toys, tools and appliances in the battery recycling containers at this location, and help reduce the 8,000 tonnes of batteries heading for Australian landfills each year. We can accept the following batteries for recycling: - alkaline batteries - lithium batteries - nickel cadmium (NiCd) - nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) batteries. Take large acid or car batteries to your next local Chemical Cleanout www.cleanout.org.au Handle batteries carefully when transporting them and ensure the acid does not leak.
