There are also several ways to responsibly dispose of other kinds of waste. MELTON RECYCLING FACILITY at 33 Ferris Rd, Cobblebank (formerly Melton South)... it's your one-stop service centre! - THE RESALE SHOP Residents are invited to drop off unwanted, re-sellable goods to the Resale Shop on site. You could save yourself money on transfer station fees. It's also a great place to find a bargain! - TRANSFER STATION Residents can dispose of listed accepted items for recycling or landfill (as a last resort) at the transfer station, either by using council rates vouchers or by paying the relevant gate fee. DID YOU KNOW? All electronic goods including TVs and computers may be dropped off for free. Household quantities of paint, batteries, CFL light globes/tubes and BBQ gas cylinders may also be dropped off for free. Council also offers school support: RESOURCE SMART SCHOOLS This program supports schools to gain recognition for sustainable behaviours. The framework aims to help Victorian schools minimise waste, save energy and water, promote biodiversity, and cut their greenhouse gas emissions.
