Council conducted a waste/recycling audit on a selection of waste and recycling bins in the shire from Monday 9th October 2006 to Friday 13th October 2006. The results of the audit show an increase in recyclable materials collected from 1.6kg per household each week to 4.1kg per household each week since the replacement of the split bin system with the 2 bin service.
