The chemicals that are collected include:
- No Collection Service - Annual free drop off at Myocum Waste and Recycling Centre.
- Council funds free access to Regional Hazardous Waste Drop Off facility for Byron Residents at Lismore. Access is free of charge. Call 6621 9671.
- Paints, persticides, herbicides, solvents, household cleaners, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, pool chemicals, acids, alkalis, hobby chemcials. **Up to 20 litres**Domestic only**

The Department of Environment and Conservation NSW is working with local councils to provide drop-off events for old or leftover chemicals found around the home.

What to do with other chemicals or hazardous waste

Farm chemicals: These can be disposed of through the ChemClear Program.
Sharps: Sharps must not be placed in your recycling bin or garbage bin. For health and safety reasons, please place your sharps in a secure and strong puncture resistant container, such as an Australian Standard Sharps container. You can dispose of this container at authorised collection points.
Ammunition and Flares: These should be taken to your local police station.
